How To Make Vegan Avocado Fries

If you craved fries before, wait till you try my recipe for Vegan Avocado Fries! These fries are crispy on the outside and buttery on the inside.

How To Make These Fries

To create the perfect Vegan Avocado Fries, you’ll be slicing your avocados and coating them with spiced Panko breading until they are golden brown. Typically, a deep friend or baked coated recipe will require egg to bind the coating but there is no egg in this recipe. Once you’ve preheated your oven, you’ll line a baking tray with parchment paper or a non-stick sheet. If you have neither, grease the pan with vegetable oil. To get the most out of your avocados, try to cut them into 8 wedges, 4 per side. You can go thinner but run the risk of them breaking.

In a shallow dish, you are going to combine your Panko breadcrumbs with garlic, onion powder, paprika, dill land salt. Press your avocado slices into the mixture, coat on each side and then place on the tray to bake for 18-20 minutes. Don’t forget to flip half-way through!

We Love Avocados

Avocados are incredibly nutritious, they contain more potassium than bananas and are loaded with fibre. Fiber helps you feel full, so you’re less likely to overeat. And although avocados are high in fat, it’s mainly healthy monounsaturated fat. Research has found that this type of fat in your diet can help trim your waistline.

Avocados Help Your Eyes

Avocados have the antioxidant lutein and zeaxanthin. These absorb light waves that can harm your vision. People who eat lots of foods rich in these antioxidants are less likely to have age-related macular degeneration, the leading cause of blindness in older adults.

Did You Know?

Most of an avocado’s antioxidants are found in the darker green flesh that’s closest to the peel.
