Oreos Are Vegan?
Did you know that Oreos are vegan? It’s true! I recently discovered this and I knew I had to create something out of them. In fact, there are many yummy desserts like Oreos that you’d never know are vegan. According to the Oreo packaging, the ingredients are unbleached enriched flour, sugar, palm and/or canola oil, cocoa, high fructose corn syrup, leavening, corn starch, salt, soy lecithin, vanillin, and unsweetened chocolate.
Are Oreos Healthy?
Unlike my usual recipes, you aren’t going to find health benefits from eating Oreos, but they sure are yummy on their own… let alone covered in chocolate!
How To Make This Oreo Bouquet
I recommend buying Double Stuffed Oreos for this recipe. It’s not just because they are doubly delicious but because the thicker cream allows room for the candy stick without breaking the cookie. If you can only find regular Oreos you can purchase Double Stuffed here. If you do end up using regular Oreos, ensure your candy sticks are thin.
This recipe is incredibly easy to create. All you need to do is:
- Melt your vegan chocolate of choice in a microwaveable bowl or a double boiler, I use Enjoy Life chocolate chips.
- Once it’s melted, dip your Double Stuffed Oreos into the chocolate.
- Decorate with candy or sprinkles and lay flat to dry.
- You can find the candy sticks that I use from Michaels or anywhere craft supplies are sold or purchase here from Amazon.
- Place a piece of floral foam in a pretty container and arrange your Oreo Bouquet.
Note: I make a very small commission, at no cost to you, for anything purchased through my site. Thank you in advance.

PrintChocolate Covered Oreos Bouquet
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Cook Time: 5 minutes
- Total Time: 10 minutes
- Yield: 12 cookies 1x
- Category: Dessert
- Method: Stovetop
- Diet: Vegan
Ingredients
- 12 double stuffed Oreos
-
1 cup of vegan chocolate chips (I use Enjoy Life)
-
Edible sprinkles, hearts and candies to decorate
-
12 candy sticks
-
1 floral sponge
-
1 decorative box
Instructions
- Line a plate, plater or baking tray with parchment paper. Place the floral sponge inside the decorative box.
-
Place chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and melt in microwave for 2-3 minutes or until fully melted. Microwaves can vary in power. Watch the chocolate carefully so it doesn’t burn or seize. Alternatively, you can melt on the stovetop over a double boiler.
-
Working with one Oreo at a time, dip the face of the cookie in the melted chocolate. Decorate with sprinkles and candy while the chocolate is still warm.
-
Place finished cookies on the parchment lined tray or plate to let the chocolate cool and harden. Repeat the process with remaining 11 cookies.
-
Insert candy sticks into the cream center of the cookie. Stick the end of the stick into the floral sponge. Repeat with all the cookies spacing cookies so they don’t block each other until you have a cookie bouquet.
