What You Need For This Recipe

This recipe is naturally sweetened with dates and bananas. You get the satisfaction of a bowl of oats mixed with the excitement of a fresh smoothie. I’ve topped mine with fresh dragon fruit, blackberries, pumpkin seeds, shredded coconut and hemp. If you don’t have time to create something similar then simply pour your blended mixture into a glass and drink it like a regular smoothie.

Ingredients

  • 2 frozen ripe bananas chopped into chunks

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • 1 cup oat milk (plus more if needed)

  • 2 tbsp hemp hearts

  • 2 dates, pitted

  • 1 heaping cup frozen strawberries

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional toppings: Dragon fruit, blackberries, pumpkin seeds, shredded coconut, hemp hearts, sliced almonds and edible flowers

Instructions

  1. When ready to eat add remaining ingredients and blend on high and until thoroughly combined adding more plant milk if needed.

  2. Transfer to a bowl and garnish with the topping of choice.
