There is something oh-so-satisfying about a freshly baked loaf of banana bread. In this post, I’m sharing my favourite recipe for How To Make Vegan Banana Bread! This recipe tastes exactly like a classic loaf you’re used to eating. It is simple to create while staying moist and delicious, full of banana flavour.

Did you know that the browner the banana, the sweeter it is? It’s time to use up your bananas that are sitting around. Sometimes I will let my bananas brown more than I like to create a sweet-tasting banana bread. This recipe does not include any egg. This is a bonus for the kiddos who love to lick the spoon!

We aren’t doing anything fancy over here but leaves you with enough creative space to put your twist on it. Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups of mashed ripe bananas (3-4 bananas)

  • ¼ cup of oat milk

  • ¼ cup of canola oil

  • ½ cup of light brown sugar

  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp of cinnamon

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • Sliced bananas for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a 9×5 loaf pan with nonstick spray.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly mash the bananas.  Stir in oat milk, oil, brown sugar and vanilla.

  3. Sift in the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Using a wooden spoon mix until there are no lumps of flour. Do not overmix

  4. Pour into loaf pan and top with sliced bananas.

  5. Bake for about 45mins until golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a couple of crumbs.
