Spread vegan butter or oil over one side of each piece of the bread slices. Add 2 pieces of bread butter side down, to the skillet.
Spread vegan cheese sauce on each slice. Top cheese with 4-5 basil leaves. Cover with another piece of bread buttered side up.
Use a spatula to gently press down the sandwich while frying. Once the bottom bread has browned gently flip to toast the second side. This should take about 3-4 minutes on each side.
Remove from heat.
Serve warm with my homemade ketchup of tomato soup.
