Combine oats, chia seeds, plant milk, water, turmeric, black pepper and coconut oil in a medium saucepan. Bring to boil then reduce heat to low over high heat and bring to a boil.
Simmer uncovered for 3 to 5 minutes until you get a beautiful creamy golden oatmeal. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
While the oatmeal is simmering put the berries, maple syrup and vanilla into a small saucepan and gently heat. Cook until the berries begin to soften then mash some of the berries until you get a beautiful sauce leaving some of the berries whole.
Divide oatmeal between two bowls. Add a heaping of warm berries and a dollop of coconut yogurt and more maple syrup if you like your oatmeal sweet.
