This Blueberry Chia Seed Jam recipe a great way to use up old fruit! Blueberries can be substituted for any berry and this recipe can be easily doubled or tripled depending on how much fruit you have to use up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of berries. Fresh or frozen (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries or a mix!)
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 24 tbsp maple syrup (depending on taste)

Instructions

  1. Place berries in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir frequently.
  3. When berries start to boil add remaining ingredients.
  4. Stir until it is a thick consistency.
  5. If the jam is too runny add 1-2 tsp more chia seeds.
  6. Store refrigerated in a sealed container for 7-10 days.
  7. Enjoy!
